The 10A Ride

Brothers from Mysore were celebrating their 10th Motorcycling club anniversary , the call was there and it was an event which for sure I couldn't have missed. 10th year of motorcycling and stories is a achievement in itself. I have been to 10th anniversary rides of my own club RTMC and also for the 10th anniversary of MBMC and both were one hell of an event ,and so when I received the invitation for the 10A of BOM event wasted no time in registering for the same.

23 of RTMC friends registered for the event and I thought this would be a mini RTMC anniversary , however , on the day of the ride many dropped out and many came by car. The event was held on 3rd and 4th of August in Coorg Cliffs Polibetta , a beautiful resort

Coorg Cliffs - Pollibetta

Intermittent rains made the location more beautiful. So finally me on my Dominar 400 , Vicky on his new Interceptor and Haren on his Versys 650 rode together to the venue.

We took Channrayanapatna - Periyapatna - Shanivarasante - Polibetta route and reached the venue by 12pm. At the venue met many friends from RTMC , KTMC , MBMC & BOM . I had met a few RTMC friends a few days before at KTMC 13A and was specially happy to meet Bamboo , harnie , deep baba and Balls whom I was meeting after long and we had a good long evening session. Post that it was time to party and we had a blast.

I had taken a day off from work on Monday and was planning to cover a few waterfalls and stay in madikeri and head to Bangalore on Monday , but changed the plans and did Polibetta - mallalli Falls - somavarpete - bisle ghat - Sakleshpur. Breathtaking views all around . Mallalli Falls was beautiful , after seeing the falls had Churmuri (bhel Puri) and lip smacking hot Maggi
Mallalli Falls

Mallalli Falls ,The Kumaradhara River is the main watercourse for this waterfall

and next destination was bisle ghat. The last time I did bisle ghat it was a notorious deep forest off road trail , now barring around 2kms the whole ghat has concrete roads but the beauty around remains the same.
Some unknown village . sometime when am on a ride a deep voice inside me says how little we have known , how little we have seen , how little we are. This image was taken 3pm in the afternoon the small village is engulfed in fog , greenery all around and for the villagers here is was just another day.

After exiting the ghat I took shiradi ghat to hit Sakleshpur. I stayed at dear friend Girish's farm house for the night. I was taken care well by Nataraj GG's friend and care taker of the farm house. The next day as suggested by Nataraj , had breakfast at Akki Rotti Hotel in Sakleshpur and left Sakleshpur at 9.30am to reach home by 12.30pm.
